The Dangerous Woman from the North

After watching Sarah Palin at the Tea Party fiasco this past weekend Iam confused at what I saw. Here is a woman from an obscure part of America telling lies and half-truths just to get attention, I thought. Maybe, but the what is becoming more obvious is the danger she signifies.

This is a woman saying anything she wants and has many believing every word she says. These are people grasping for something to believe in. They hang on every word and cheer anything that in the least makes sense to their thinking. Does not matter if it is bad for most people in America or if it is even true. What it is, is a propaganda movement to take over power in America at all cost.

The Republicans and the Tea Party followers do not care what happens to the rest of us. All they want is the power to collect our money, keep us in line. and make us subservient to the right-wing no matter the consequences for the country. They are hoping to get control before it all falls apart.

Well it is falling apart mainly because of their obstructionist stance in the Senate for sure, But we were talking about Sarah Palin. Does she want the presidency, maybe? It is possible she is after far more, even the minds of your children who get disallusioned  by the slowness of congress and jobless economy we are in. Is she after power for herself with no other motive, I doubt it? Is she wanting to make Alaska the controlling part of America, quite possibly?  However, I would bet she is an attention junkie who does not give a damn about the consequences of her words and actions. She is a demagogue.

How do we isolate her? Words are not working. Actually she is just a symptom of a broken system of politics and government. It is just the beginning. She describes a revolution. She just might get that, but not how she thinks.

When the revolution begins with lies and false promises, it is a hollow movement at most. There is a revolution building in this country, but not led by the fringe of the republican party, like Palin and the Tea Party isolationists.

The revolution is building around the truth and the belief that Corporate personhood at the detriment to the people and our system of government cannot stand. That controlling the masses with corporate power will not work in the long run. Why? Because it is only a matter of time before a generation will just about have enough and turn on the elites in power. whoever they are. When this happens their will be no Republicans or Democrats who will be safe from the rage of the people. Anyone who suppresses the population will be a target. It is building as I write this and I hear and see it everyday.

Sarah Palin and the Tea Party crazies are just the beginning. There are rough times ahead for America. It will be another time when neighbor turns against neighbor,but this time it is not over keeping a race subservient, it will be over keeping a whole population subservient to the will of Corporations.

The Mercurio room will not be ready for another hour. As I sit and wait to nap at Una Pagina del Sol my waybecomes clear.

I just completed a book by Thom Hartmann I have been reading for months. I have read some chapters several times. I could not believe what I was reading or rather i could not believe we have let our democracy disentigrate to the corporatist feudal society it has become.

What does this have to fo with me? I have found my cause. The best part is I can launch my grassroots movement while in another country. how perfect!

as soon as I can get my house sold and move to PV, I can run an anti-corporate, anti-free trade grassroots campaign organization from Mexico. We can renew American democracy by romoving it from the grasp of corporate personhood.

Corporations are ficticious entities which exist only from the consent of the people. Human persons are natural persons and corporations are artificial persons which have no rights under the Seventeenth Amendment to the US Constitution.In no way was the seventeenth amendment meant to apply to corporations. Santa Clara made no determination of corporate personhood. It is a scam perpetrated by corporate attorneys to avoid regulation, taxation, and fee assessment. It has caused havoc worldwide and must be stopped.

Let the movement begin here.

Last Day of 2009 in PV, Mexico

Wow what a day today in PV. Went to beach with Dudley and we rented beach chairs at the Ritmos Beach Cafe next to the Blue Chairs Resort. So many gay boys in town for New Years Eve. Got lots of sun and saw a whole lot of hot bodies. We had lunch on the beach and on the way back to the house stopped at Una Pagina En El Sol coffee house for some cold tea and americano.

Tonight going to, what is referred to as, the biggest fireworks display on New Years anywhere. I cannot wait to see this and experience NY in another country. It is so festive here and I am starting to really like it here.

I am quite frightened of downsizing and moving here on my own. I am not the kind of guy who makes friends easily, even at AA. However, leaving my comfort Zone could be the best thing I ever did.

I sure wish my sons wanted to buy a condo down here and I could live in it most of the year. They could come to PV on vacation, we could visit a few days and then i go back to Big D and stay at their house while they are down here on vacation. That would be too cool. Just a dream. Besides I am afraid to ask, since i have no money to invest myself I get a shame attack just thinking about it.

If I am supposed to move to PV all will come together and make it happen. Time will tell. Besides, I have more locations to scope. Ft. Lauderdale, Sitges, and Palm Springs are still on my one year visit list. Completed are Washington DC, San Francisco, and Austin. Puerto Vallarta is in progress.

It is my time to enjoy life’s adventures and not be so damn stuck  in one place. i love Dallas and my family is there. I would be so nice to be able to solve the living situation for me, affordably, and be able to see the family on a regular basis.

Exercise and Holocaust Museum

I got my exercise in today by walking 10 blocks to the metro and then another 2 long DC blocks to the Holocaust Museum. Between the heat today and the emotional journey at the exhibits I am exhausted and it is only 4pm

I arrived at the museum just after 10:30am and did not leave until 3pm. It was an excruciating experience, especially when I paused inside the railroad car they transported their victims in. I actually could see them lying there on the floor of that cattle car moaning and dying. I ran out.

It is hard to put in word what one feels in that museum. It is unlike any other museum on earth. I am proud that we have it in our nation’s capitol, lest we forget.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out – Because I was not a Socialist. Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out – Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out – Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me — and there was no one left to speak for me.

CommentsPeople from across the U.S. are converging on Washington D.C. this weekend for the National Equality March, a movement from the LGBT community to demand equal rights in all manners of public life, including the right to marry, donate blood and serve in the military.

Organizers are asking those who believe in equal rights (straight or gay) to sign up on the Equality Across America website and commit to joining the thousands in D.C. on October 10 and 11.

Though the gay rights movement has taken a backseat to the economy, health care and other domestic issues in 2009, last year’s passage of California’s Proposition 8 sparked continued outrage in the LGBT community, culminating in this weekend’s event.
